When I first heard of this Man's Ice Cream I just knew I had to make a visit to Philly to try this pint size favorite. What sold me He's African American (no shade, just proud), he's a part of the high school I graduated from, and this I cream tast like it's straight out of my kitchen. It brings back a childhood memory. I love everything about it texture, creaminess, amount of sweet, and like there's real pie crust in the sweet potato ice cream. Mr Andre has really nailed this one on so many levels. I'm only sorry that I just learned about this. Thank you Brown's Shoprite for the excellent advertisement spot and showcase. I'm extremely proud, it was worth me ignoring my lactose intolerance issues. #blacklivesmatter #supportyourlocals
The purpose of this blog is to just share my ideas on a few topics; food, hair, and writings. I am no expert by any means, but I do have a strong opinion and don't mind sharing my thoughts. I hope that this blog can be used as an eye opener, words of encouragement, or an idea about what to do or not do with your hair. The hands on my blog are just an illustration of me and my love for people and my willingness to always lend a helping hand. I hope the blog will edify and give God the glory.
About Me
- Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
- Creativity would best define me whether it be in the form of food, hair, writing, or self development. Although each of these is quite different they are all interconnected. I use them all as a way of escape, self awareness, and empowerment. I feel as though if I can make a difference in at least one person’s life I’m happy. These three things afford me the opportunity to make a difference.

Transparent Moment
Well a part of my journey will be transparency. A lot will be embarrassing but since I let my self get here I might as well show it. This will keep me aware of the total disgrace that I have with my weight. I love me but I can see me feeling and looking a lot better at least 50 pounds lighter. Skinny will never be my goal I just want a snatched back waist if you will. Hopefully I won't offend anyone with my transparency my immediate goal is to motivate my self and others. I figured since I've seen pictures such as these and more graphic, and they have inspired me, then maybe just maybe I can inspire others. Here we go!! I realize I'm opening doors for judgement. Sigh ok...

Birthday Cupcake Wasted
Jamie Lloyd aka Little Miz Cupcake, during my search for cake for my birthday I was at a lost for someone to meet my specific need. Then on July 25 at about 11:00 p.m. I ran across the photography by John Artis of this spunky unique gem. The cupcakes looked divine and they defined everything that I was looking for it was as it they were tailor made with me in mind. My heart raced as my excitement and anticipation increased. I jotted down the information of Little Miz Cupcake in hopes that she would be open on a Sunday and prepared to do business. To God be the Glory I called her at 9:00 a.m. and she answered. She was as sweet on the phone and in person and her cupcakes were to the eye. She said that she was setting up for a pop up store today and I could order and pay prior to her setting up because she knew she would run out. Well our transaction was successful the business entrepreneur that she is she was prepared to receive my money electronically and prepared to deliver my cupcakes. She had many to choose from but I elected

Banana Pudding

Chicken and CauliRice
As a kid one of my favorite meals was the one pot wonder chicken and rice. Well during my transition rice is a no no. Therefore, I went to my universal food cauliflower and made my CauliRice. Delicious to say the least.
Peach n Nectarine Sorbet
All natural Sorbet a nice cool homemade treat for these hot days. It's guilt free when you know what's in it. The fruit is more sweet when it's really ripe.

Trying Something new
Today I ventured out and did a solo wine tasting, I also went to a new to me Jamaicsn Restaurant Michell's Kitchen. The GD was ok, the place was exceptionally cute, and the homemade ginger beer was Amazing. I was sad to hear that the landis Amish Market was closing. Economy challenges. Overall I had a great visit to Vineland NJ. I actually brought a white wine to cook my favorite seafood and chicken dinner.
